ZJ Beny
A 22 kW three-phase BENY BCP charger family with OCPP, app and dynamic load-management functions available on selected configurations rather than every BCP unit.
Estimated charger price
around $1,000
Estimated installation
around $700–$1,500
Typical installation estimate for a straightforward home installation. Longer cable runs, switchboard upgrades, three-phase work, trenching or other site requirements can increase the cost.

BENY's three-phase BCP family supports up to 22 kW / 32 A on a suitable 400 V three-phase supply. The documented fixed-cable configuration uses a 6 m Type 2 lead and is rated IP65/IK07. BENY specifies Type A plus 6 mA DC leakage protection and an operating range of -25°C to 55°C. OCPP 1.6J, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth app control and dynamic load balancing are optional functions that depend on the exact model. Dynamic load balancing requires additional BENY current-sensing and control hardware. The exact model and included smart functions should therefore be confirmed with the Australian supplier before purchase.

This charger supports higher AC charging speeds where both your home's electrical supply and your EV's onboard AC charger allow. Confirm your home's phase support with a licensed electrician, and check your EV's maximum AC charging capability.
Where the charger and required monitoring equipment support solar-aware charging, the system can adjust EV charging in response to available solar generation. The exact behaviour depends on the charger, metering or sensors, inverter setup and configuration.
Where supported and correctly configured, load management can reduce EV charging power when other household loads increase, helping keep total demand within the configured site limit.
OCPP support allows the charger to communicate with compatible OCPP charging-management platforms. OCPP support by itself does not guarantee integration with a home battery, solar inverter, electricity tariff or every third-party platform.
The manufacturer lists an IP65 enclosure rating for this charger. The final mounting location should follow the manufacturer's installation requirements and be confirmed by the installer.
A dedicated home EV charger should be installed by a licensed electrician. The installer should confirm the circuit design, switchboard capacity, protection requirements and any applicable local electricity-network requirements.
