iStore AC EV Charger

Overview

The iStore IS-EVC-22000-3PH is a 22 kW, 400 V three-phase charger operating from 6 A to 32 A. It includes a 7 m tethered Type 2 cable, IP65 enclosure, Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity, app control and a 3-year warranty. Dynamic load balancing monitors household electricity demand and adjusts charging output around the property's available capacity. Solar charging requires a compatible iStore inverter and smart meter connected to the iStore portal with an active internet connection. The charger includes Type A plus 6 mA DC leakage detection, while the installation manual also requires appropriate external residual-current and overcurrent protection. Australian regulatory and iStore commissioning documentation support OCPP operation.

  • Drivers who benefit from a 7 m tethered cable
  • Installations requiring dynamic household load management
  • Installations requiring OCPP 1.6

Not ideal for

  • — Single-phase homes expecting 22 kW charging
  • — Solar households without the compatible iStore inverter, smart meter, portal connection and internet required for integrated solar charging
  • — Buyers expecting solar integration to work with any inverter without checking compatibility

Using this charger at home in Australia

This charger supports higher AC charging speeds where both your home's electrical supply and your EV's onboard AC charger allow. Confirm your home's phase support with a licensed electrician, and check your EV's maximum AC charging capability.

Where the charger and required monitoring equipment support solar-aware charging, the system can adjust EV charging in response to available solar generation. The exact behaviour depends on the charger, metering or sensors, inverter setup and configuration.

Where supported and correctly configured, load management can reduce EV charging power when other household loads increase, helping keep total demand within the configured site limit.

The manufacturer lists an IP65 enclosure rating for this charger. The final mounting location should follow the manufacturer's installation requirements and be confirmed by the installer.

A dedicated home EV charger should be installed by a licensed electrician. The installer should confirm the circuit design, switchboard capacity, protection requirements and any applicable local electricity-network requirements.
