GAC home EV chargers
Find home EV charger options for GAC electric vehicles including the AION V and AION UT.
GAC's Australian electric vehicle range includes the AION V SUV and AION UT hatchback. These are distinct vehicles with their own charging specifications.
Before selecting a home charger, check the AC charging capability of your particular GAC model and whether your property has single-phase or three-phase electricity. The charger's rated output alone does not determine how quickly the vehicle will charge.
If your home has rooftop solar or requires household load management, those requirements should also be considered. Use Find My Charger to explore charging options based on your vehicle and property.

GAC EV charging FAQs
Can I use a standard Type 2 home EV charger?
Many electric vehicles sold in Australia use Type 2 AC charging, but you should confirm the connector and onboard charging limit for your exact model. A compatible charger also needs to suit your home's electrical supply and installation conditions.
Do I need a 22 kW charger for my electric vehicle?
Not necessarily. A 22 kW charger can only provide its full output where the electrical supply and vehicle support it. For many homes, a lower-powered charger can meet normal overnight charging needs.
Can I install an EV charger on single-phase electricity?
Yes. Suitable home EV chargers can be installed on single-phase properties, subject to the available electrical capacity and installation requirements. A licensed electrician should assess the supply and switchboard before installation.
Can I charge my electric vehicle using rooftop solar?
Yes. Solar electricity can be used for EV charging. Charging specifically from surplus solar may require a compatible smart charger, energy meter, current sensors or a supported energy-management system. The requirements depend on the equipment installed.
What if my vehicle model is not listed?
You can use Find My Charger and enter your vehicle details manually. If you know your vehicle's onboard AC charging limit, you can include it. If you are unsure, check your owner's manual or confirm the specification with the manufacturer before purchasing a charger.
